Youth Flag Football

YMCA youth sports encourage healthy kids, families and communities by placing a priority on family involvement, positive self– image and a sense of fair play. Through our caring staff and coaches, we help your child develop the skills fundamental not only to play the sport, but also to be successful in the community such as cooperation, commitment, dedication and sportsmanship.

Volunteer coaches, often parents of players, help run each team. Coaches conduct practices and notify parents when players need to arrive for practices and games.

The YMCA promises no tryouts, no getting cut and no bench warmers! Every child plays at least half of every game while making friends and learning new techniques. We want to help cultivate our youth into becoming outstanding people just as much as helping them become outstanding players.

Together We Can Do More:

We're seeking volunteers interested in coaching youth sports. Our coaches make YMCA youth sports possible, and create a lifelong impact on children by encouraging participation and emphasizing sportsmanship and strong character. When you become a volunteer, the Y will introduce you to coaching and provide resources specific to the sport you coach. For more information, contact your nearest Y by phone or stop by the Welcome Center.

About YMCA Youth Sports

YMCA Youth Sports programs promote healthy kids, families and communities by placing a priority on family involvement, healthy competition, the value of participation over winning and team building. Parents are encouraged to be more than mere spectators by contributing their time as volunteer coaches and team parents as well as being their kid’s number one fan.
